Lunar Outpost’s MAPP rover provides a robust and flexible platform to accommodate a wide variety of scientific and commercial payloads. By designing MAPP to have a low-mass to high-payload ratio, we are able to maximize the rover’s payload capacity to take multiple science and commercial partners to the Moon. MAPP’s design is cost-effective, which enables key missions on planetary bodies while promoting a more accessible and inclusive cislunar economy. The incorporation of real-time data from sensors integrated into MAPP and its payloads makes our rover more efficient and effective in accomplishing its objectives. ​

Exploration Without Limits
MAPP’s state-of-the-art design allows it to reach previously impassable areas, such as deep craters and rock outcroppings. Access to these areas provides science and research partners with the opportunity to study areas of the Moon that were once out of reach. MAPP’s data collection and transfer capabilities will lead to a better understanding of the lunar surface, from mapping the topography to detecting and collecting space resources. The visual data MAPP collects from the Moon, such as photos and videos, will be used for future Astronaut training to make their mission operations safer and more streamlined.
